Frequently Asked Questions

How do doctors keep up to date on all of the current techniques?

Doctors take over 100 hours of continuing education each year. They also subscribe to the latest journals to keep up on research and development in the dental industry. Our office makes it our responsibility to be aware of the most reliable and current materials and techniques available.

Do you accept referrals?

We gladly accept referrals. It is the highest compliment a patient can give us.

What do I do if the office is closed and I have an emergency?

Our office provides 24 hour coverage for a true dental emergency. We are available for you if an emergency occurs. Please call our office voice mail at (617) 698-2332 and let us know the nature of your condition. We will return your call as soon as possible, give you helpful information over the phone and determine if you need to be seen immediately.

Will I be charged if I need to cancel an appointment?

In order to maintain a well run office, we ask all cancellations be made at least 48 hours before your scheduled time.

Do you accept my insurance plan?

Although we are not in network with insurance companies we will file your claim for you.

What different payment options do you provide?

For most procedures payment is due at the time of treatment, this includes insurance co-payments.
We offer 3rd party financing and will help you with the application.

At what age should my child first see a dentist?

We like to see children in our office by age three. At this age we can spot and prevent any potential concerns. We also feel this is a good age to give your child a positive dental experience.

My gums bleed after I brush, should I be concerned?

Bleeding gums may have a number of causes, including improper brushing or plaque along the gumline. If this persists please contact the office so we can detect the problem.

How can I whiten my teeth safely?

Whitening your teeth can have a dramatic effect on your smile. We offer an in-office treatment and/or an at-home tray procedure and professional strength Crest White Strips.
